About Us
Our Story
Asian Impact Movement is a student-led non-profit organization based in Naperville, Illinois. Asian Impact Movement was created with the dream of making local, grassroots change. Co-founded by Emilie Fann and Hannah Leong in 2024, AIM paves the way for students to be creative and lead initiatives for the betterment of the community. With Asian hate on the rise at the tail-end of the COVID-19 pandemic, Emilie and Hannah felt that change was needed. As a team, AIM has worked together to promote Asian culture, combat health inequity problems, volunteer in the community, and more.
Today, AIM’s team of volunteers are currently working on the Dear Mom and Dad Initiative. Cancer is the leading cause of death for Asians and the second leading cause of death for all Americans, so the DMDI promotes cancer awareness and encourages parents to get cancer screenings. Thus far, they have designed, printed, and distributed more than 500 cancer awareness pamphlets and reached Asian Americans numbering in the thousands in the name of Asian health equity.
